Pakistan youth delegation visits Yunnan University

A meeting between a Pakistan youth delegation and Yunnan University representatives is held in the university campus, on Oct 20.

A delegation from Pakistan, led by Jehangir Khanzada, Pakistan Punjab provincial minister for youth, visited Yunnan University on Oct 20.

Li Jianyu, deputy Party secretary of Yunnan University, Wu Wensheng, director of the education training sector of the China Youth Center for International Exchange, and Zhao Jinlei, Yunnan, deputy secretary general of the Yunnan Youth Federation, attended a welcoming ceremony.

Li Jianyu introduced Yunnan University's history and development, and said that mutual exchanges should be increased to improve education development on both sides, adding that she hopes the visit will help encourage more communication between the youth of China and Pakistan.

The delegation visits the university's Belt and Road research center.

The delegation planted a friendship tree in the university's International Forest and visited the university's library and Belt and Road research center. They also participated in some Chinese cultural activities.

As a closing event, Yunnan University's faculty and students met with Pakistani youths, a great opportunity to get to know each other.
