Consulate general of Hungary seeks cooperation with Xiamen

Elod Tasnady, consulate general of Hungary in Shanghai, visited Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 25 to 26 to seek business cooperation with the Chinese city.

Yao Jianhong, deputy director of Xiamen's Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, introduced Xiamen's five industrial chains worth 100 billion yuan ($14.52 million), including MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry, panel display, financial service, modern logistics and software.

Yao added that Xiamen is trying to improve its business climate and upgrade its traditional industries.

Elod Tasnady said that electronic and auto industries are the pillar industries in Hungary while Xiamen performs well in the two fields.

The consulate general expects the two sides to strengthen mutual trade and investment in electronic and auto industries.

The Hungarian consulate general also visited two local companies and invited them to locate subsidiaries in the European country.
