The China (Xiamen) International Leisure Tourism Expo 2016 (CILTE), highlighting the two tourism campaigns "Refreshing Fujian" and "Belt and Road tourism", will start on Sept 23, it was announced at a news conference on July 5.
The three-day expo will include forums on MICE tourism and leisure tourism, a purchase fair and a conference on self-driving tours, aiming at providing a comprehensive service platform.
This year’s event will cover an area of 30,000 square meters with 1,000 stands. Exhibitors, such as Eutour United, Royal Caribbean International and the Spanish Tourism Authority, will come from more than 30 countries and regions including Spain, the Netherlands, Australia, the US, Canada, Germany, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea and Japan. The number of visitors is expected to reach 200,000.

China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
