The BRICS Economic and Trade Industry Cooperation Exchange Promotion Conference, focusing on the Xiamen Free Trade Zone and Russia's Vladivostok Special Economic Zone, was held in Xiamen on March 26.
The Xiamen FTZ Administrative Committee, the Vladivostok SEZ, and the BRICS Partnership on Industrial Revolution Institute for Digital Economy and Artificial Systems jointly signed a trilateral cooperation memorandum. This collaboration will focus on high-tech industries such as IT, electronics, and biotechnology, to advance Sino-Russian cooperation towards enterprise-oriented and industrialized development.
The two sides will deepen collaboration in areas such as joint technological research and development, digital trade, and low-carbon industries, establish a regular exchange mechanism, provide a replicable "Xiamen model" for BRICS economic and trade cooperation, and inject "BRICS energy" into global industrial chain transformation.
The BRICS PartNIR Innovation Base has provided a national-level cooperation platform for this innovative collaboration, while the legal and business integration international legal service system constructed by the Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District FTZ Pilot Zone also offers solid legal protection for this cooperation.
During the promotion event, the Xiamen FTZ and the Vladivostok SEZ respectively presented the business environment, industrial policies, and key projects of their zones.
Following the event, the Russian delegation visited the Maritime Silk Road International Legal and Business Integration Service Base and the Xiamen Cross-Strait Integrated Circuit Industrial Park.
