The sixth edition of the "Integrating Haicang, Creating the Future Together" employment and entrepreneurship sharing event for Taiwan youth was recently held in Haicang district.
Over 30 young people from Taiwan visited key sites such as the YunChuang Webcast Town and the Ocean Gate Container Terminal in the Haicang area of the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, gaining an in-depth understanding of the industries in areas such as cross-border e-commerce.
The entrepreneurship sharing event explained new policies that benefit Taiwan, told new stories of cross-Strait integration, and showcased new industrial achievements.
Through various forms such as employment counseling, experience sharing, and company visits, the event encouraged Taiwan youth to pursue local employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
This is the second time the event has taken place in the Xiamen FTZ, facilitating the entry of multiple companies into the Youth Innovation Base in the Haicang area.
The Xiamen FTZ aims to become the "first home" for Taiwan youth in Xiamen, encouraging many of them to start businesses and seek employment in the city.
From January to October, the Cross-Strait Youth Innovation Base saw the registration of 54 new enterprises, including 22 Taiwan-funded companies, bringing the total number of registered enterprises to 1,675. Currently, the base hosts 88 Taiwan-funded enterprises and employs 91 Taiwan staff members.
