During the Double 11 shopping festival, the Xiamen Free Trade Zone's major cross-border e-commerce platforms experienced a surge in orders. The Xiamen cross-border e-commerce public service platform processed a total of over 6.6 million import and export transactions, amounting to over 1.2 billion yuan ($166 million) in value, representing year-on-year increases of 33.5 percent and 26.3 percent, respectively.
On the eve of this year's Double 11 shopping festival, the Administration of Haicang Free Trade Port Area actively facilitated the entry of a leading designated parallel importer of automotive parts in China to the platform.
They launched comprehensive services for cross-border import of automotive aftermarket products, expanding into the automotive lubricants sector. Lubricants by well-known brands such as Mobil and Shell have been successfully listed and sold, enriching the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem in the Haicang Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
With the rapid development of the cross-border e-commerce industry, the Haicang Administration is focusing on promoting the development of cross-border e-commerce platforms. They have established two major regulatory centers, creating public spaces that integrate regulatory supervision and inspection services for cross-border e-commerce businesses in Haicang Port and the entirety of Xiamen port.
This initiative aims to facilitate the new development of Xiamen's cross-border e-commerce industry and enhance the business environment at the port.
