Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, the largest aviation port in Fujian province, is an important gateway for the import and export clearance of "fresh, live, and urgent" products in China, and its cargo transportation coverage and accessibility is continuing to improve.

Currently, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport has a total of 27 international and regional routes carrying cross-border e-commerce goods. Within one year of the implementation of the "24/7 clearance" model, seven new cross-border e-commerce air routes were opened, and the number of cross-border e-commerce lists exported through the airport has reached 104 million.

In line with the round-the-clock operation model, the Xiamen Airport Cargo Terminal located in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone has added a new 3400-square-meter cross-border e-commerce warehouse.

The daily average customs inspection operation time has been reduced by more than half, effectively ensuring the export of goods during peak periods of cross-border e-commerce such as Double Eleven, Christmas, and the "618" Shopping Festival.

Xiamen is accelerating efforts to become an international aviation hub by continuously expanding its role as an "air bridge". According to Xiamen Customs statistics, since implementing round-the-clock customs clearance operations on July 1, 2023, customs has supervised 3,197 inbound and outbound cargo flights at the airport, totaling 202,000 metric tons of goods.

From January to May this year, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport saw over 160 international cargo flights per month, with the cross-border e-commerce cargo volume increasing by 269 percent, reaching historic highs.
