The world's first remotely-controlled electric empty container handler recently arrived at the Haitian Terminal in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone. Sporting a red exterior, this handler has been designated as "Number One" by the terminal.

This remotely controlled empty container handler is domestically manufactured with independent intellectual property rights. With the remote-control technology debugging process already completed, it will soon join the terminal's remote operation lineup. Its solid and reliable technology places Xiamen Port at the forefront of the industry and lays the foundation for application at other ports.

According to a representative from Xiamen Container Terminal Group, the first phase of the intelligent transformation at the Haitian Terminal has been completed. Moving forward, Haitian Terminal will leverage technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), BeiDou Satellite, and blockchain to continuously advance key core technologies for smart terminals and enhance the construction level of smart ports.
