On its one-year anniversary, the cross-border e-commerce and sea freight express supervision center located in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone released data revealing its focus on Taiwan business.

By strengthening the development of the cross-Strait maritime logistics channel, especially through the innovative integration of "station and terminal", the center has become the first in the country to achieve efficient coordination of cross-border e-commerce goods and sea freight express shipments to Taiwan, promoting the integrated development of cross-Strait trade and economic cooperation.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Xiamen being designated as the first city for cross-Strait express shipping to Taiwan. Over the past decade, the city has attracted shippers from various regions with its "air transport efficiency, sea freight prices" strategy for cross-Strait express shipping to Taiwan.

This has led to the development of a unique advantage in the Xiamen-Taiwan logistics channel, covering the entire process, which includes cargo handling, warehousing, customs supervision, mainline transportation, customs clearance (transshipment), and delivery (transit).

In 2021, Xiamen took the lead in opening the "southern transport corridor to Taiwan" and integrated the COSCO Star Cruise Terminal, which is the only direct cross-Strait "point-to-point" route, to form an integrated "Great and Mini Three Links route". This integration has achieved full coverage of routes from the cruise terminal to Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung, enhancing Xiamen's service capabilities and advantages in cross-Strait express shipping to Taiwan.
