With the arrival of 2024, the aircraft leasing business in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone has surged, with four leased aircraft successfully touching down so far this year.

The first leased aircraft of 2024, a Boeing 737-800, recently touched down in the Xiamen FTZ. This aircraft, purchased from overseas by Xiamen Lusheng Aircraft Leasing from Sprite Aviation No5 DAC, completed asset delivery in international waters and was directly handed over to Xiamen Airlines for operation on Jan 11.

This transaction represents the first time a "cross-border aircraft asset transaction + domestic bonded leasing" business model has been used for leased aircraft within the Xiamen FTZ.

In addition, three ARJ21 leased aircraft have been introduced by SPDB Financial Leasing for Chengdu Airlines.

These three ARJ21 aircraft are not only the first domestically manufactured aircraft to be delivered in 2024, but also represent the largest single delivery of ARJ21 aircraft to a single airline since its inception.

Leveraging the Xiamen FTZ's strong business environment and the policy dividends of the domestic civil aircraft industry, SPDB Financial Leasing has delivered a total of nine domestically manufactured leased aircraft inside the zone.

The fleet of domestically manufactured aircraft in the Xiamen FTZ is now 12 in number, laying the foundation for further improving the layout of the zone's aviation leasing industrial chain.
