The fifth aircraft in SPDB Financial Leasing portfolio recently landed in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone.
The plane is being operated by Juneyao Airlines, which is making its first venture into aircraft financing and leasing business in Xiamen.
Under this collaboration, the Xiamen Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee, in partnership with Dongdu Customs, provided innovative business guidance for customs clearance of aircraft for SPDB Financial Leasing and Juneyao Airlines.
The aircraft is a brand-new A320 manufactured in Tianjin. It is the first imported aircraft to go through the zone-to-zone customs clearance in the Xiangyu Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
The Xiamen FTZ had accumulated a total of 16 imported aircrafts in 2023. The aircraft financing and leasing platforms have also contributed over 4 billion yuan ($56.16 million) in fixed investments, resulting in a boost of nearly 6 billion yuan in total imports.
The aircraft leasing industry is flourishing, with the shipbuilding and integrated circuit industries making significant strides in leasing as well. The financing and leasing platforms have concluded their operations for 2023.
