The SITC QINZHOU vessel embarked on its maiden voyage on Dec 23 when it departed Haitian Terminal in Xiamen Port for Danang Port in Vietnam. This marked the launch of the new Danang express (route code CJV7) shipping route.

Operated by SITC International Holdings, this Belt and Road route will provide cost savings and enhance the efficiency of foreign trade enterprises. Ships take just two days to travel between the two ports. It previously took a week.

SITC International Holdings will deploy three container vessels to serve the new route every week. Products such as machinery, electrical equipment, daily necessities, clothing, and footwear from Xiamen and surrounding cities will be transported through this premium express route.

It is estimated that this route will transport a throughput of approximately 300 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) to Xiamen Port on a weekly basis.

Xiamen Port has also added a new Belt and Road route operated by Pacific International Lines (PIL) from Singapore. This route connects Xiamen with destinations such as Singapore, Mauritius, Madagascar, Mozambique, and other countries.

The inaugural voyage of the vessel KOTA NAZAR, which was assigned to operate this route, departed from Haitian Terminal with a full load of cargo on Dec 24. The plan is to deploy six container vessels for the operation of this route.
