The 14th Cross-Strait (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair will take place at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, Fujian province from Aug 4 to 7.
The four-day event will feature a national cultural export base booth, an annual meeting for the national cultural export base joint mechanism and an exhibition featuring works by artists from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
Centered on three core themes - "cultural power", "innovation power", and "youth power" - this year's event will have five major themed pavilions showcasing digital cultural tourism, smart and creative life, oriental fashion, comics and animation, and cultural and creative products from 11 countries and regions.
A digital cultural tourism exhibition area spanning 5,000 square meters will be created for the first time. This area will feature new-technology application-based cultural enterprises related to big data, 5G, and cloud computing.
Forums focusing on the development of culture and tourism industry driven by technological innovation will also be held, gathering representatives from leading technology companies such as Baidu and iFLYTEK, as well as those from cultural tourism operation companies.
In addition, a Taiwan shopping festival, a Taiwan youth new design exhibition, and a bazaar displaying specialties from Fujian province will be held.
