Xiamen Port, in East China's Fujian province, loaded a COSCO ro-ro ship with 2,561 domestically produced cars on July 8, bound for Europe. This marks the inaugural journey of any ship on the new "China-Europe" liner route.

After also stopping at Shanghai port, the total number of domestic cars in cargo increased to 3,731. Notably, over 2,700 of these vehicles were new energy cars, representing the largest shipment of new energy vehicles exported by Guangzhou Yuanhai Auto Shipping Co since its establishment.

Guangzhou Yuanhai Auto Shipping Co plans to expand its capacity to better serve Chinese automobile enterprises in the European market.

The Xiamen Ocean Shipping Container Terminal, located in the Haicang Free Trade Zone, has exported nearly 40,000 vehicles in the first half of this year. The opening of the "China-Europe" liner route will help the terminal reach its goal of exporting over 100,000 vehicles annually.

The operation of the "China-Europe" liner route signifies the growing influence of Chinese domestic brands in the global automotive industry.
