China's Silk Road Maritime e-commerce express route has achieved remarkable results despite being in operation for only a year, according to Xiamen Customs.

Over the past year, the route, which was launched on June 10, 2022, was used to transport nearly 30,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) storing goods worth more than 10.3 billion yuan ($1.44 billion). This included 39,000 shipments of cross-border e-commerce exports valued at around 350 million yuan. The route primarily transports items such as luggage, apparel, daily necessities, and fitness equipment.

The Silk Road Maritime e-commerce express route provides a direct connection between Xiamen Port and Manila Port in the Philippines.

This route has significantly expedited the transportation of domestic e-commerce goods, allowing for delivery to Manila Port within just two days. Its ability to accommodate small quantities, multiple batches, and time-sensitive demands has proven highly effective in meeting the import and export needs of e-commerce goods.
