A visit to the Dayou Silkwork Egg Producing Farm, in Xushuguan town, Suzhou New District, is a must for people looking to learn about the history of the area's sericulture.
Established in 1926, the farm was at the forefront of Chinese sericulture for a time, and now serves as a testament to this bygone era.
Lying on the site of Dayou's old silkworm rearing rooms, the Xushuguan town' Silkworm Culture Exhibition Center exhibits many objects that were used in the silk farming process, as well as historical documents and photographs from the time.
