The Journal of Shanxi University (Philosophy and Social Science Edition) was recently again selected as one of source journals for the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) -- one of China's authoritative citation databases with academic evaluation significance. 

Source journals for the CSSCI have been selected 13 times since 1998. The latest selection includes 73 journals of colleges and universities from all around China. 

There are 10 full-time and part-time editors in the editorial department of the Journal of Shanxi University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition), all of whom have academic backgrounds in various disciplines at Shanxi University in North China's Shanxi province.

As a comprehensive academic journal covering philosophy and the social sciences, the journal has won many important honors, including the second "Shanxi Publishing Award" and "Noted National College Social Science Journal".
