Shanxi University alumnus donates historical materials

A donation ceremony of items relating to Zhu Qihuan, an alumnus of Shanxi University, was recently held at the university's history museum.
Born in 1897, Zhu Qihuan was a former dean of the English Department of Shanxi University and director of the editorial committee of Shanxi University's journal.
His family donated to the university archives Zhu's professor certificate issued by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (1912-1949) in 1943 and a letter of appointment in 1985.
The archives granted the donors a certificate of donation and a collection of relevant archive copies especially made for Zhu Qihuan.
Hang Kan, vice-president of the university, expressed his gratitude for the contribution made by Zhu's family.
He said that the donation had enriched the university's historical materials and the university would preserve the documents and strengthen its research into and use of historical materials.
He also welcomed other alumni to make suggestions and contributions to the cultural development of Shanxi University.
