Zhejiang province in East China has recently held a foreign-related legal service partnership conference in Hangzhou, during which the official launch of a Zhejiang merchant foreign-related legal services center was announced.

As a pioneering region in the country's reform and opening-up and a pivotal hub under the Belt and Road Initiative, Zhejiang has made proactive efforts to develop itself into a globally influential hub for foreign-related legal services. This includes establishing a legal service system that supports high-level opening-up, cultivating a team of high-caliber foreign-related legal professionals skilled in international legal affairs, and promoting the integrated development of a foreign-related legal framework and high-quality opening-up.

At the conference, relevant departments provided updates on the progress of the legal service center and unveiled the province's achievements in the field of foreign-related legal services.

By leveraging overseas branches of top-tier Chinese law firms and high-quality foreign legal service institutions with positive ties to China, and coordinating resources from entities such as business sectors, trade promotion organizations, overseas Chinese associations, and the General Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs, the center aims to create a global legal service network for Zhejiang-based businesses, according to a representative of the center.

The center seeks to establish a comprehensive foreign-related legal service framework that features close coordination between domestic and overseas entities, integration of online and offline services, enhanced coordination of internal and external resources, effective partnerships between Chinese and foreign lawyers, and a combination of proactive legal guidance and remedial legal support.
