Wang emphasized that the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has thoroughly implemented the decisions and plans of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on promoting the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Based on its responsibilities, the MOJ has proactively explored initiatives in such areas as establishing a legal service consultation mechanism within the GBA and promoting a pilot program allowing Hong Kong and Macao lawyers to practice in mainland cities within the GBA, Wang added.

The ministry has continuously enhanced policies on legal services opening to Hong Kong and Macao, supported Hong Kong in building itself as a center for international legal and dispute resolution services in the Asia-Pacific region, effectively promoted the integration of Hong Kong's judicial and legal circles into the country's overall development, and provided legal support for aligning rules, mechanisms, and talent exchanges within the GBA, he said.

During his stay in Hong Kong, Wang held discussions with Lam and legal professionals on topics including leveraging Hong Kong's distinctive advantage of having close connections with the world market with strong support from the motherland in the face of new risks and challenges, and strengthening cooperation in promoting the rule of law within the GBA and the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents.

Wang also attended the launch ceremony of the Hong Kong International Legal Talent Training Academy and visited the China Legal Service (Hong Kong) Ltd.
