Vice-minister of justice meets with president of Macao’s Association of Legal Professionals

Vice-Minister of Justice Wang Zhenjiang met with a delegation led by Zhao Guoqiang, president of the Association of Legal Professionals of the Macao Special Administrative Region, in Beijing on Nov 1. They discussed the promotion of the rule of law in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Wang said that the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has unwaveringly implemented the "one country, two systems" principle, thoroughly implemented the decisions and plans of the Communist Party of China Central Committee on promoting the development of the GBA, and proactively provided legal guarantees for Macao's integration into the country's overall development.

He expressed his hope that the MOJ will deepen pragmatic cooperation with the Association of Legal Professionals of Macao in such areas as promoting exchanges between the legal circles of the mainland and Macao, legal publicity and education, and the cultivation of legal talents.

Zhao noted that the Association of Legal Professionals of Macao will further enhance exchanges between the judicial and legal circles of Macao and the mainland, and provide legal support for Macao's better integration into the country's overall development as well as the stable and sustainable implementation of "one country, two systems".
