Zhao welcomed the delegation, noting that China and Vietnam are friendly neighbors, and that their profound bond featuring "camaraderie plus brotherhood" continues to grow stronger.
He said China's Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is ready to work together with Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security, in aligning with the important consensus reached by the leaders of both parties and countries, to fully execute the memorandum of understanding signed between the two ministries and to deepen cooperation in areas such as prison management and community correction. These efforts aim to contribute to the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future of strategic significance.
Tran Van Thien commended China's remarkable achievements in advancing the rule of law. He expressed a willingness to further strengthen cooperation and to learn from China's advanced experience, particularly in leveraging new technologies to promote the development of prison management and community correction.
Officials from the MOJ's bureaus of international cooperation, prison management and community correction administration also attended the meeting.
