Beijing has held its first promotional conference for foreign-related legal services.
It was noted at the conference that the Chinese capital has made significant progress in building itself into a highland of foreign-related legal services since 2021 through various measures, including strengthening the development of foreign-related legal service systems, optimizing the layout of the building of an international commercial arbitration center and a specialized legal service zone, and accelerating the cultivation of talent for foreign-related legal services.
The conference, hosted by the Justice Bureau of Beijing and co-organized by the Beijing Lawyers Association, the Beijing Arbitration Commission, the Beijing Notary Association and the Beijing Association of Forensic Science, comprehensively showcased the latest developments and achievements in the city's foreign-related legal services.
At the conference, the "Beijing Foreign-Related Legal Services Manual" was released, which covers various areas of foreign-related legal services, including services provided by lawyers, foreign investment, international trade, intellectual property, notarization, and litigation, arbitration and mediation.
The establishment of a foreign-related legal service team was also announced at the conference, which comprises 100 outstanding talents from various sectors of foreign-related legal services selected from the "Beijing Municipality Training Program for 100 Senior Level International Legal Professionals".
The legal service team aims to play an active role in addressing foreign-related economic and trade risks, supporting the development of new quality productive forces and ensuring a higher-level opening-up.
