The justice department of North China's Hebei province recently held a symposium on improving the foreign-related services provided by lawyers in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of the province. The meeting announced the establishment of a research center for foreign-related services provided by lawyers and identified five law firms as training units for foreign-related legal services in the province.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening foreign-related legal services, recognizing them as a strategic imperative for building a high-quality legal profession in Hebei. This effort aims to promote high-quality development of the province's foreign-related legal services.

The meeting called for an emphasis on cultivating legal talents to bolster the province's talent pool of foreign-related lawyers, and said the establishment of a regular and standardized training mechanism for foreign-related lawyers should be explored.

The meeting also called for law firms in Hebei to consistently innovate in foreign-related legal practices, enhance and accumulate their professional strengths, capabilities and competitive advantages in the field of foreign-related legal services.

Additionally, the meeting emphasized the need to build a research center for foreign-related legal services that could act as a think tank, enhance lawyers' participation in the deliberation and administration of State affairs, beef up legal protection for enterprises, and actively promote international exchanges.
