In recent years, Northwest China's Shaanxi province has intensified its efforts to strengthen talent cultivation for foreign-related legal services in a bid to further promote the development of the Belt and Road Demonstration Zone for International Commercial Legal Services and to optimize a law-based business environment.

The province has been continuously implementing a training program to enhance the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents. To date, 19 sessions have been held, offering over 11,000 training opportunities to relevant departments, well-known corporate legal representatives and foreign-related lawyers.

The justice bureau of Xi'an, the province's capital, has been exploring new models for the training of foreign-related legal talents through collaborative efforts with universities and relevant organizations.

In collaboration with Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, and Xi'an University of Finance and Economics, it has established internship and practical training bases for students with master's degrees in law.

Furthermore, the Silk Road International Law Academy has been established through the joint efforts of the justice bureau and Xi'an Jiaotong University to help build a platform for the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents.

The justice bureau of Xi'an has also fully tapped into the positive role of private training institutions in the cultivation of high-end talents for foreign-related legal services. It has supported the Xi'an Arbitration Commission in collaborating with international institutions such as the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre to offer public courses on international arbitration, and welcomed the Duan & Duan Global Training Center's settling in the city.

Moving forward, the justice department of Shaanxi will continue to strengthen talent cultivation for foreign-related legal services, and make new breakthroughs in the construction of foreign-related legal service platforms and institutions, high-level talent cultivation, expansion of service fields, and enhancement of service capabilities to provide high-quality legal services for the province's high-level opening-up.
