China's Vice-Minister of Justice Hu Weilie led a delegation to Belarus and Uzbekistan at the invitation of the two countries' ministries of justice from July 7 to 13.
During the visit, Hu held talks with Belarusian Minister of Justice Yevgeny Kovalenko, Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee of Belarus Alexey Volkov, and Deputy Minister of Justice of Uzbekistan Alisher Karimov. He also paid site visits to notary associations and judicial forensic centers in both countries.
Hu highlighted the achievements China has made in recent years in the development of the rule of law and public legal services, particularly in judicial forensics and notary management, during the meetings. He also reached broad consensus on deepening exchanges and cooperation between China's Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and its Belarusian and Uzbek counterparts in the areas of law and justice, especially in legal services.
He said that China's MOJ is willing to work with its Belarusian and Uzbek counterparts to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state, deepen exchanges in the rule of law involving Belt and Road cooperation, and promote more fruitful bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Kovalenko, Volkov and Karimov praised China's achievements in the development of the rule of law, and expressed their willingness to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China's MOJ in the areas of law and justice in a bid to better serve the development of the rule of law in their own countries.
During the Chinese delegation's visit to Uzbekistan, the ministries of justice of the two countries signed two memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the field of legal services.
Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Yu Jun also participated in the relevant activities.
