The Office of the Commission for Overall Law-based Governance of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, in conjunction with the justice and education departments of East China's Jiangsu province, recently issued a work plan on the construction of a collaborative training base for foreign-related legal talents.
The plan specifies that the training base aims to cultivate high-quality foreign-related legal talents with global vision and practical skills. The base will serve as a comprehensive platform featuring collaborative education, practical training, work exchanges, and theoretical research, in order to establish a foreign-related legal talent training system with Jiangsu characteristics.
The plan also clarifies the six major functions and tasks of the base, namely, making innovations in the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents, providing training for foreign-related legal talents, undertaking research on foreign-related legal practice, organizing exchange activities on foreign-related rule of law, providing decision-making consultation on foreign-related rule of law, and jointly building a foreign-related legal service platform.
According to the plan, the base will be built through the collaborative efforts of the related departments and universities with the participation of relevant units and organizations. Participants will sign a collaborative agreement emphasizing the integration of industry, academia, research and training, in a bid to create a clearly defined, efficiently coordinated and jointly built framework for construction, management and operation.
This initiative also aims to provide strong talent support and intellectual backing for Jiangsu to expand high-level opening-up and accelerate the building of a globally attractive and two-way open hub.
