Wang noted that since the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was proposed, Heilongjiang has deeply integrated into Belt and Road cooperation. The establishment of the BRILA Harbin Center is of great significance for promoting the construction of the BRILA, strengthening international exchanges and cooperation in the field of the rule of law, fostering a law-based business environment, and promoting high-quality development of Belt and Road cooperation.

He expressed the hope that the representative offices of the BRILA will fully perform their functions, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and promote the better development of foreign-related legal services. He also encouraged Chinese lawyers to leverage the BRILA to tell the story of China's practices in the rule of law, demonstrate their positive energy, and contribute to providing legal service guarantees for the high-quality development of the Belt and Road.

Li said that Heilongjiang is an important node in the Belt and Road cooperation. The establishment of the Harbin Center of the BRILA is conducive to strengthening exchanges and cooperation among lawyers, tapping the high-quality resources of the BRILA to cultivate foreign-related lawyers, and promoting the creation of a new pattern of opening-up on all fronts.

The Harbin Center will provide high-quality and efficient legal services for the high-quality development and sustainable revitalization of the province, he noted.

Also present at the event were Kang Yu, secretary-general of the BRILA, Cui Yonghong, director of the Justice Department of Heilongjiang, Zhao Guoxin, director of the BRILA Harbin Center, leaders and experts from the Bureau of Lawyers' Work of the Ministry of Justice, relevant departments of Heilongjiang and the Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center, heads of the six representative offices of the BRILA, and leaders of the Heilongjiang Lawyers Association, as well as representatives of foreign-related lawyers.
