China's Minister of Justice He Rong recently met with Chief Ombudsman of Turkiye Şeref Malkoç in Beijing. They had an in-depth pragmatic exchange of views on work related to law enforcement supervision.

He Rong briefed Malkoç on the significant achievements China has made in promoting the rule of law under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

She said that the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) of China is willing to work with the Turkish side to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of both countries, further deepen exchanges and mutual learning in the field of the rule of law, and carry out pragmatic cooperation on law enforcement supervision and the promotion of law-based governance, so as to serve the continuous and healthy development of China-Turkiye relations through the fulfillment of the two sides' responsibilities.

Malkoç spoke highly of China's remarkable achievements in socioeconomic development and the development of the rule of law. He said that the Ombudsman Institution of Turkiye is ready to foster a closer working relationship and strengthen pragmatic cooperation with the MOJ of China. 

Turkish Ambassador to China Ismail Hakki Musa also attended the meeting.
