Noting that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Wang said the initiative has seen active responses from an increasing number of countries, as well as great attention from international organizations over the past decade. It has assumed an increasingly important role in advancing global prosperity and development, he added.

The Euro-Asia Economic Forum is an important platform for Belt and Road cooperation between China and Eurasian countries, he said. The newly convened legal service sub-form aims to promote the spirit of Silk Road and bolster exchanges and cooperation in the legal service field, Wang said.

As cooperation between China and other Eurasian countries continues to deepen, Wang said the legal service industries of all countries will witness unprecedented cooperation opportunities and development potential.

Strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the field of legal services is a crucial part of building an closer relationship between China and the Eurasian region, he said, adding that legal professions of different countries should uphold the spirit of the rule of law, leverage their professional advantages, and work together to promote the cooperation mechanism within legal service industries. This will help to deepen the all-round and wide-ranging pragmatic cooperation and contribute to promoting regional stability and prosperity, according to the vice-minister.

Themed on "deepening cooperation in legal services and discussing the future development of the Silk Road", the sub-forum was co-hosted by the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association and Shaanxi Provincial Justice Department.
