The 2023 China Arbitration Week recently kicked off in Beijing, featuring an impressive lineup of 76 events in 37 cities worldwide.

Over the next 20-plus days, this event will delve deep into the realm of commercial investment arbitration, all while engaging in discussions on industry trends and international legal talent development, in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative.

This year's arbitration week featured a range of events, including the release conference of the China International Commercial Arbitration Annual Report (2022-2023), the China Arbitration Summit, and the Arbitration Gala, covering such topics as leveraging arbitration advantages to promote the achievement of the dual carbon goals, the impact of AI development on arbitration, and preventing and resolving financial risks with arbitration services under the new financial supervision pattern, according to the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC).

The China Arbitration Week is a platform with a focus on arbitration and dispute resolution. It was initiated in 2013 by the CIETAC, in collaboration with Renmin University of China, the All China Lawyers Association and the Beijing Lawyers Association.

The China Arbitration Week marks its 11th year this year. Over the past decade, it now spans more than 50 cities globally and has engaged millions of participants, solidifying its reputation as one of the most influential international arbitration legal events globally.
