The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) held a closing ceremony for its first advanced training program for lawyers in foreign-related fields at the China University of Political Science and Law.

The program's 300 participants, who are outstanding foreign-related lawyers with an excellent language proficiency and practical experience in foreign-related fields, were selected by the MOJ from across the country.

The training session was an important step taken by the MOJ to further enhance the cultivation of foreign-related lawyers, so as to provide them with a solid practical foundation.

The ministry has formed a blueprint and made a training curriculum focused on the legal and judicial systems of major countries, as well as major topics regarding the rule of law in foreign-related fields, such as international investment and intellectual property rights.

Through theoretical studies, field visits of law firms, arbitration institutions and large State-owned enterprises, as well as a range of activities such as mock court trials and arbitration hearings, the participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the legal and judicial systems of relevant countries and further enhanced their understanding and knowledge of the legal systems in key foreign-related fields.

The program has consolidated the foundation for the participants for engaging in work related to legal services in foreign-related fields, and for better serving the country's rule of law in foreign-related fields and high-level opening-up.

Organized by the China University of Political Science and Law, Renmin University of China and the University of International Business and Economics, the training session lasted for three months, with each university responsible for training 100 participants.
