The justice department of Mudanjiang city, in Southeast China's Heilongjiang province, recently inaugurated a legal service center for promoting China-Russia cooperation.

The center is a public welfare platform that provides Chinese and Russian enterprises and citizens with such legal services as legal consultations, enterprise compliance guidance, as well as dispute mediation and resolution.

The center is expected to play an important role in serving enterprise cooperation between the two countries, guaranteeing exchanges in economic and trade fields, strengthening regional legal service coordination between China and Russia, as well as standardizing cross-border investment and trade of both countries. It will also help advance the high-quality development of China-Russia cooperation.

To date, the center has cooperated with more than 10 domestic and foreign universities and legal service institutions, including the research center for Russian law of the China University of Political Science and Law, the Law School of Heilongjiang University and the Heilongjiang branch of the Beijing DHH Law Firm, as well as the "Stafus" law firm of Russia.

The center is staffed by a team of over 80 domestic and foreign experts specialized in such fields as China-Russia economic and trade affairs, legal issues, and language translation, achieving resource sharing and high-quality coordination in the operation model, case discussions, expert consultation and argumentation, as well as personal training.
