Chinese Minister of Justice He Rong met with Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov in Beijing on July 13. 

The minister said that under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, China has continuously made historic achievements in the overall law-based governance. She expressed her willingness to work with the Russian prosecutor general to further enhance exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia in fields of legislation, law enforcement and research under the strategic planning and guidance of the two heads of state, in a bid to provide higher-quality legal guarantees and services for the development of China-Russia relations and cooperation. 

Krasnov expressed his willingness to deepen pragmatic cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of China in such fields as legislation, crime prevention, legal education and research. 

Vice-Minister of Justice Wang Zhenjiang and Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov also attended the meeting.
