Jilin lawyers dedicated to promoting rule of law in rural areas

In recent years, Northeast China's Jilin province has been actively organizing lawyers to provide public legal services in enterprises, communities and rural areas at the grassroots level, in an effort to enhance the public's sense of gain, happiness and security regarding the rule of law. 

The province has established over 300 legal service teams to serve enterprises, providing free "legal examinations" for more than 30,000 enterprises, with over 83 million yuan (about $12.03 million) of service fees being either reduced, deferred or exempted. 

The province has held over 2,500 legal publicity activities and trained more than 186,000 enterprise management personnel. A people's mediation committee for civil and commercial disputes has also been established, handling over 3,000 cases of civil and commercial disputes related to enterprises. 

In Changchun, capital city of the province, 1,692 villages and 443 communities have all been equipped with legal advisors, and 2,422 WeChat groups have also been created to provide services for villages and communities, which addressed the problem of the unbalanced distribution of legal resources between urban and rural areas. 

In addition, Jilin lawyers have actively participated in activities targeted at promoting rural vitalization through the rule of law. A total of 1,847 lawyers in the province have worked as legal advisors in villages and communities, establishing 2,795 WeChat groups of legal advisors to publicize information on rules and regulations related to rural vitalization, resolve disputes among villagers and provide legal consultations. 

So far, Jilin lawyers have provided on-site services at 10,503 legal service centers, stations and studios, as well as the 12348 hotline, the province's official public legal service hotline. 

They have received more than 240,000 hotline calls, provided over 13,000 legal consultation services and handled 1,580 legal aid cases related to agriculture and rural affairs, providing solid legal guarantees and services for rural vitalization advancement.
