China has recently unveiled an action plan to further enhance judicial forensics and judicial credibility from 2022 to 2024.

The three-year plan, jointly released by the General Office of the Ministry of Justice and the General Office of the State Administration for Market Regulation, takes aim at boosting the competency of accreditation of judicial forensic institutions.

Despite significant progress over the years, issues such as lack of cohesion and unclear division of labor between juridical, administrative and market supervision, still need to be addressed.

To that end, the plan has called for expanding the coverage of certification, training more qualification certifiers, and making continual improvement on the quality control system, among other measures.
