Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, has been advancing Belt and Road construction with high-quality foreign-related legal services since 2018.

With the establishment of local branches of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the International Commercial Mediation Center for Belt and Road Initiative and the foreign law ascertainment center for Belt and Road Initiative that year, Chengdu became capable of providing foreign-related arbitration, mediation and law ascertainment services that meet international standards.

So far, the three institutions have handled 24 arbitration cases worth a total of 1.41 billion yuan ($218 million), and mediated 3,159 commercial disputes worth over 2.57 billion yuan in total.
