Provinces across China have launched various campaigns to publicize the country's first Civil Code as May 28 marked the first anniversary of the promulgation of the code.

The commission for overall law-based governance of Northwest China's Shaanxi province convened a symposium with the legal community on May 27 to emphasize the need to enhance code publicity.

Judicial departments across Shaanxi also organized various activities like distributing legal learning materials and holding lectures for the public.

East China's Fujian province integrated code publicity with the learning of Party history at the opening of its campaign on May 22.

It also invited legal professionals to discuss on TV the changes brought about by the code to people's daily lives.

Central China's Hunan province mobilized its legal service network including a website, a hotline and the province's public legal service center to ramp up code publicity so that people can further their knowledge about the code every time they seek legal advice on these platforms.
