Notary services in Hebei meet people’s need in novel ways

Always keeping up with economic and social development, notary services in North China's Hebei province have been trying both efficient and innovative ways to satisfy people's various needs.

High quality and efficiency

After receiving a request to provide services in a village where a large house demolition project was underway the other day, a notary public office in the city of Langfang promptly designated three notary specialists who reached the village which was some 20 kilometers away in just 30 minutes.

After four hours of intense but orderly work, the specialists completed the evidence notarization work for all the houses in a 500 square meter-large area, effectively safeguarding residents' interests.

In 2019, notary public offices across the city concluded over 22,000 notarization procedures, earning widespread recognition from local people.

Non-contact services

One day in the midst of the epidemic, the notary public office of Qinghe county in Hebei province received a phone call from a lady surnamed Guan who was then in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province, which is hundreds of kilometers away from the county.

Guan told the office that she wanted it to notarize the relationship between her late husband and her late parents-in-law, all of whom were Qinghe residents, and the demise of her parents-in-law so that she could inherit the property owned by her husband.

The travel restrictions imposed due to the epidemic made it impossible for Guan to go through the required formalities at the office, making her extremely anxious.

Luckily, Guan was soon relieved after the office told her about its non-contact service approach which allows for the online handling of the notarization process.

As it turned out, the whole process was completed in only 20 minutes after Guan submitted all the needed materials to the office's online service platform.

Apart from providing the non-contact service, the office joined a campaign with over 200 other notary public offices across China to help crack down on price gouging during the epidemic.

It also took part in the development of a mini program on the social messaging platform WeChat that presents a national map of public notary offices in an effort to save people's time.
