BEIJING -- China's Ministry of Justice has issued a circular calling for more convenient and effective public legal services to protect migrant workers' interests amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Judicial and administrative organs at all levels should give full play to the role of government lawyers, corporate lawyers and legal consultants in enterprises and public institutions, soliciting their advice when rolling out policies concerning rural migrant workers amid the outbreak, according to the circular.

Judicial and administrative organs were asked to organize primary-level mediators to help migrant workers settle possible disputes such as wage arrears.

The circular also asked judicial administrative organs to invite experts to interpret issues concerned by migrant workers and strengthen the publicity of public legal services to guide migrant workers to protect their rights in accordance with the law.
