The National Office of Law Popularization recently kicked off a nationwide campaign to expand legal knowledge related to epidemic prevention and control in the hope of providing the ongoing fight against COVID-19 with strong legal support and a favorable climate of public opinion.

The campaign is to tell the public about the law-based measures taken by the central government to effectively curb the epidemic.

It also revolves around issues of public concern by focusing its popularization effort on such legal topics as epidemic prevention and control, emergence response, wildlife protection and health quarantine.

The office emphasizes the need to carry out the campaign based on the demand of the epidemic control effort and merge the law popularization with legislative, law enforcement and judicial process.

According to the office, communities, rural areas, cyberspace, schools, enterprises and other public places as well as the front line of the fight against the virus are the main venues of the campaign.

Apart from the campaign, the office also published a Q&A collection of legal knowledge on epidemic prevention and control along with dozens of typical cases.

It also draws on e-books and short video clips to advance law popularization online.
