Police officers at drug rehab facilities across Wuhan, the epicenter of the ongoing novel coronavirus epidemic, have been working tirelessly to shield these facilities from the untamed virus.
Ruan Jun, a veteran police officer for drug rehab, swiftly returned to work after receiving the order requiring all staff to report for duty. In addition, he voluntarily applied to work night shifts in order to let his colleagues have more rest.
As with Ruan, Li Pengcheng, another police officer who will soon become a father, also hastily headed back to his post after sending his eight-month pregnant wife to his parents-in-law's home upon receipt of the order.
There are also police officers like Zhang Zhongyuan and Chen Gang whose wives are fighting at the frontline of this antivirus war as doctors or nurses. Because both of the couples are on duty, they have to leave their young children at home alone.
With the selfless dedication of such police officers, the whole judicial administrative system of Wuhan is currently working around the clock to ensure that drug rehab facilities are free from the virus.
