Lushunkou smart travel services platform begins operations

The launch ceremony for a smart integrated travel services platform was held on Oct 30 at the Cherry Park in 203 Scenic Area in Lushunkou, Dalian, in northeastern Liaoning province.

Jointly established by the Dalian branch of China Construction Bank and Dalian Lushun Cultural Tourism Group, the smart service platform aims to provide full-range and personalized smart travel services for tourists.

Zheng Xu, vice-mayor of Lushunkou, said at the ceremony that Lushunkou saw the construction of modern tourism, the establishment of a national integrated tourism demonstration area and the construction of international tourism destination in Northeast Asian region as strategic drivers for development.

Zheng said that in light of that, the local government has restructured the functions of Dalian Lushun Cultural Tourism Group.

He said it had made great efforts to build it into a State-owned enterprise that could allocate resources to support the high-quality development of the regional economy in Lushunkou.

If successful, this would mean it could take on the tasks of integration, construction and operation for cultural tourism resources in Lushunkou, he said.

It could also take on financing cultural tourism projects and the get involved with the external promotion of products, brands and tourism.

It would also be responsible for the coordinated operation of district level scenic spots and cultural venues.

According to local media reports, Dalian Lushun Cultural Tourism Group and the China Construction Bank will cooperate through the "Internet + tourism + financial services" mode.

They will do this in the areas of industry supervision, tourist services, marketing promotions and interactive experience and big data analysis.

These would realize the integration of information resources, service integration, scientific decision and the construction of a modern, comprehensive, convenient, efficient and smart services system, the reports added.
