Updated: 2019-10-28

A road show competition for entrepreneurship projects kicked off recently at Tongchuang town in Lushun development zone in Lushunkou, Dalian, northeastern China's Liaoning province, according to local officials.

They said it attracted the participation of over 100 university students and entrepreneurs.

A total of 16 projects in the initial stage of entrepreneurship were showcased at the competition on the day.

The person in charge of each project gave a briefing to experts and the audience -- in the form of on-site videos and on-site displays -- on its background, innovational areas, scheme designs and objectives.

Most of the projects participating in this competition involved frontier fields and future industries -- such as artificial intelligence, energy conservation and environmental protection, e-commerce and cultural development.

According to the local authorities, the road show competition was expected to find and cultivate new technologies, new projects and entrepreneurial models -- and create a good environment for the development of Lushunkou's entrepreneurship and innovation.

As an online and offline innovation and entrepreneurship incubation platform, the business incubation base of Tongchuang town covers an area of 10,000 square meters and a building area of more than 3,000 square meters.

It focuses on the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics and other scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurship projects in cultural education, health and other industries.

Officials said it can provide on-site, entrepreneurship guidance, market promotions, business agency and policy subsidies and a series of entrepreneurial services for entrepreneurs.
