Lushunkou sees growth in its primary sector, service sector

In the first three quarters of this year, the total output of agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery in Lushunkou, Dalian, in northeastern China's Liaoning province, was 279,400 tons, according to the local authorities.
During the same period the total production value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery and services industry was about 3.2 billion ($452 million) yuan, an increase of 6.3 percent over the same period last year.
Local authorities said that the output of agricultural grains, vegetables and fruit in Lushunkou was 2,554 tons, 33,700 tons and 26,700 tons respectively, with an output value of 589 million yuan.
The output of the meat produced from animal husbandry was 8,585 tons, the output of egg was 20,300 tons during the period and production of fresh milk came in at about 2,096 tons.
In first three quarters of this year, the meat output value was worth 396 million yuan; the total output from fisheries was 185,400 tons, and the output value was 2,086 million yuan.
The added value of agriculture in Lushunkou was 1.57 billion yuan, an increase of 6.8 percent over the same period last year.
The processing of agricultural products totaled 198,700 tons and the output value was 1.528 billion yuan, up 21 percent and 13 percent respectively over the same period of previous year.
Some 3,021 batches of agricultural products were exported, and the export volume was $125 million.
Statistics showed that in the three quarters the rural tourism industry received 5.03 million tourists, generating revenue of 2.9 billion yuan, up 3.6 percent and 11.4 percent year-on-year respectively.
