According to local media reports, a sub-competition of the 17th Dalian International Walking Festival was held in Lushunkou, Dalian, a city in Northeast China's Liaoning province, on May 15.

This is the fifth time that Lushunkou has hosted the sub-competition，which attracted over 20,000 participants this year.

The competition consists of a five-kilometer and a 10-kilometer race. Participants are not only able to enjoy beautiful natural scenery while walking, but also a variety of performances.

The competition is expected to help promote the integrative development of sports, culture, and tourism.
