The 3rd Session of the 15th Lushunkou Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened in Lushunkou, Dalian, a city in North China's Liaoning province on Jan 2.

Delegates listened as Zhao Hongwei, secretary of the Commission of Lushunkou, delivered the annual work report of the Party and Lushunkou district, highlighting several significant achievements the Party and the district have made.

He stressed the importance of the Party's principles and guidelines in conducting this year's work.

At the congress, the main goal of developing Lushunkou economically and socially in 2019 was emphasized. In order to promote quality of development in Lushunkou, the importance of strengthening the Party's self-governance ability was stressed.
