In a bid to improve fire safety in forests, Lushunkou set up four smart monitoring platforms.

Lushunkou invested 1.42 million yuan ($204,500) to establish the "Remote Monitoring System for Forest Fire Prevention" with a warning and monitoring center and four video monitoring points for 24-hour monitoring.

A communication platform with 5 communication towers used for forest fire prevention was built to guarantee unimpeded communications and command for forest fire prevention.

A mobile phone terminal platform was provided to 55 forest rangers to examine, record, exchange graphics and texts about forest conditions around the clock. Furthermore, a Wechat platform was set up to publish timely information on forest ecological protection, information reports and forest-related issues and to respond to social concerns in a timely manner.
