New measures have recently been introduced in the district of Lushunkou in Dalian, Liaoning province to attract more investment and boost the local economy. 

The region attracted $43.07 million in foreign investment during the first half of 2018, with much of it going to ecofriendly high-tech projects. 

Lushunkou has also signed a cooperation agreement with Shanghai's Xuhui district to encourage domestic investment in the area.
