The Lushun Victory Tower is located in Lushunkou. It is a protected city-level relic site, built by the Soviet army in memory of the failure of Japanese imperialism. The construction work began in March 1955 and finished on September 3rd of the same year. The tower is 45 meters high, and covers 15,000 square meters. It’s made from polished granite. The pentagonal foundation has two layers of stairs on each of the five sides. On the second layer, there are five hexagonal columns and ten octagonal columns constituting the pillar of the tower. The center is the pentagonal tower body containing 180 stairs. The five-meter tower spire, made of gold-plated bronze, features at its top a red five-pointed star surrounded by gold-plated tassel decorations.

Every spring, the peach and cherry blossoms, roses and peonies surrounding the tower vie for the attention of the many guests who come from afar.
